Everything you need to know about touring a home with Peek At Utah Homes.

The basics

How touring works

What is Peek At Utah Homes?

A simple way to see homes for sale in person without signing up with a buyer's agent first. You tell us which home and when, and we arrange for the listing agent to let you in.

Do I have to sign a buyer agreement?

No. You tour as an unrepresented buyer, so there's no buyer agreement and no commitment. You'll just receive a short written disclosure explaining who the agent works for.

Can I tour any home for sale?

Most listed homes along the Wasatch Front, yes. Occasionally a seller or listing agent limits showings, for example on a home with tenants. If that happens, we'll let you know and suggest other times or options.

How soon can I see a home?

We reply within one business day. The tour itself depends on the seller's and listing agent's availability, and is often within a few days of your request.

Can I bring family or friends?

Yes. Just let us know in the "Anything we should know?" box how many people are coming, so we can tell the listing agent.

At the showing

Who's who

Who lets me into the home?

The home's listing agent, or a member of their team, meets you at the property and opens the door for your tour.

Is the agent at the showing working for me?

No. The listing agent represents the seller, not you. Keep that in mind before sharing details like your budget or how much you love the house.

Why do you need a photo ID?

Sellers are letting someone into their home. A quick ID check protects them, and it's what lets us offer tours without a buyer contract.

Will I get sales calls afterward?

We only contact you about the tour you requested. If you'd like more help later, just ask.

Ready to buy

Making an offer

What if I want to make an offer?

You choose. You can write the offer with the listing agent, or hire a licensed Presidio Real Estate agent to represent you. In that case you'd sign a buyer agreement with them at that point.

Do I need to be pre-approved to tour?

No. You don't need a pre-approval to see a home. If you decide to make an offer, the seller will usually want to see a pre-approval letter or proof of funds then.

Am I obligated to anything after touring?

No. Touring doesn't commit you to buying, to an agent, or to us. See as many homes as you like.
